PAUL GOGARTY FRICS.MCIArb.ACIOB is Managing Director of Gogarty Consult Ltd. He has over 35 years experience in construction of Building, Civil Engineering, M&E Services, Process Engineering and Power Generation projects, in the United Kingdom and overseas in Kuwait, Qatar, Portugal, Gibraltar, Iraq and Afghanistan. Paul has held a wide range of senior commercial and project management positions with national and international main contractors, multi-disciplinary private practice and a commercial directorship with a specialist contractor. Paul commenced work in dispute resolution in 1994.

• Paul represented a specialist subcontractor in 4 successful adjudications totaling £4 million against a London hotel developer. Enforcement of one adjudicator's decision was achieved in the High Court in a landmark ruling

• Expert on town centre development concerning £5 million difference between the parties
• Expert on £40 million high quality residential development

UK Claims
• Advising on project monitoring, record keeping on a £30 million high quality residential development. Preparing claims for National main contractor and defence subcontractor claims
• Preparation of extensions of time on listed building refurbishment project for National main contractor
• Advise on strategy and forensic investigation of facts on several defective works issues on multi-million pound contracts for National contractor including a large shopping complex, Mosque, retail park, hotel and high quality residential development, in conjunction with defects expert.

International Claims
• Preparation of claims and acting as quantum expert for claims amounting to approximately $50 Million for USA and European contractors on 11 HV Power Transmission Lines, Power Plants and Substations projects in Iraq and Afghanistan
• Preparation of a $10 Million piling claim and $30 Million Security claims; claims for extensions of time and Termination for Convenience submissions under USA Federal Acquisition Regulations. War Risks Clause claim on five substations
